Why is it that sometimes the best way to express our honest thoughts is by singing them?
The Fray recently released their new single from their new record that has unprecedented authenticity and fantastic musical quality. This song is a “must have” – as all of their songs are.
I had the privilege of hearing this song last April in NYC at an event where Isaac and Joe from the Fray were appearing. I will forever remember the time they spent talking about their disillusionment with the church and Christianity. Isaac spoke of the honesty he was seeking to have in his relationship with God in hopes that true answers would be found.
“You Found Me” profoundly identifies with the honest longings of many hearts. Check it out.

Honest living doesn't mean that you will have a great life. However, and honest life does correctly understand God's omnipresence, omnipotence and sovereignty.

An unmarked bible is no better than an unmarked trail; it shows no sign of when you've been and is no help in returning you home when you discover you are lost.

While I was on the plane to Chicago, I discover this passage again:
Thus says the Lord:
"Stand by the roads, and look, ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls." Jeremiah 6:16
This simple passage is a reminder to those who first heard it, as well as to us, that we should "Ask for the ancient paths" – in other words, ask for wisdom! Truth be told, we too often forget to ask for God's insight. Or if we do ask for it, we ask quickly and flippantly not fully taking into account what it is that we are asking for. Proverbs tells us that wisdom is supreme above all things! I hope we never forget the magnitude of this request, or that we are invited to do this on a regular basis.
